My purpose in this Manifesto is to address the two sides of the issue of control-the evils of controlling others, and the most common evils in addressing issues of control. While the former is more evident to the naked eye, the latter-the church's ignorance in rightly responding to and dealing with control-can be a greater evil with more far-reaching effects upon the church and her witness in the world.
